My name is James and I was diagnosed with bowel cancer at age 31.

I have no family history of the disease, and never noticed blood in my stools at all. My sole symptom was shortness of breath.

I had a colonoscopy and a 5cm tumour was found. After having two thirds of my bowel removed and chemo, I am now clear.

I never once thought that bowel cancer could beat me.

I now have a 3-month-old little boy, and none of this would have been possible without the support of my family and wife Hollie.

My goal this Decembeard® is to raise the awareness that you are never too young to bowel cancer, even with no family history. Don’t ignore the symptoms.
